Week Four - Direct Relief
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay. During the Coronavirus Pandemic, Direct Relief is working tirelessly through its COVID-19 Relief initiative to make sure the courage of health workers on the front lines is honored with meaningful support, and the people most at risk in this pandemic are cared for.
This organization is working in overdrive to get protective gear and critical care medications to as many health workers as possible, as quickly as possible, with emergency deliveries leaving daily for medical facilities across the U.S. It is also coordinating with public health authorities, nonprofit organizations and businesses in the U.S. and globally to provide personal protective equipment and essential medical items to health workers responding to COVID-19.
In addition to supporting Direct Relief, you can also order the new alternate color Crash Course t-shirt or Crash Course scrub top to donate. Metallica will donate proceeds from the sales of both of these items to our Month of Giving spotlight organizations.
