In February of 2017, we announced the formation of All Within My Hands. The Foundation aims to assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band for years, as well as encourage participation from fans and friends. All funds raised will be donated to a cross-section of national and local charities... every penny from your donations will go directly to our charity partners.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Legendary heavy metal band Metallica is giving back to Grand Rapids — again.
Grand Rapids Community College was granted a third round of scholarship funds from the band to send students through the welding program.
Central Community College in Grand Island received a $100,000 grant through the Metallica Scholars Initiative.
Yes, you read that correctly. Metallica.
Through its All Within My Hands Foundation, the legendary rock band seeks to invest in "the people and places that have supported the band," lifting up career and technical education.
For the third-consecutive year, Central Piedmont Community College was selected to participate in the Metallica Scholars Initiative and receive $25,000 in funding to support its career and technical education programs.
Live Music and the Fight Against Hunger
At every tour stop, either All Within My Hands or Metallica have donated a portion of ticket sales to a local food bank or community service organization. In November of both 2018 and 2020, AWMH held its signature benefit: The Helping Hands Concert & Auction. As with all AWMH fundraisers, 100% of proceeds from ticket sales, the auctions, and event merch went directly to the Foundation.
Metallica Scholars and Workforce Education
Following its first two incredibly successful years, the Metallica Scholars Initiative is expanding into 23 community colleges for the 2021-2022 school year! This program is designed to support students training to enter the American workforce. To support these schools and students, AWMH is donating $1.6 Million in funding with the goal of reinvesting in communities that have supported Metallica over the last four decades.
Monthly Auctions for Collectible Memorabilia
On the first Tuesday of every month, AWMH conducts fundraisers typically in the form of auctions, which are now hosted on Givergy! These fundraisers allow fans to bid on unique Metallica experiences and autographed Metallica memorabilia. All proceeds from these fundraisers benefit All Within My Hands and help further the Foundation’s work in the areas of food insecurity, workforce education, and critical local services.
Supporting AWMH through Metallica Store Sales
Purchasing select Metallica live recordings and merchandise is a great way for fans to show their support of AWMH. Whether recordings from the Helping Hands Benefits, The ABCs of Metallica children’s book, or a limited-edition t-shirt, proceeds from sales of these products go back to the Foundation and help AWMH fulfill its mission.
