Local Chapter Fundraising Competition

Our favorite friendly competition is back! You know the drill by now: local chapters of the Metallica Fan Club compete to raise money for AWMH and win awesome prizes for their members.

Last year, 36 local chapters joined forces to raise an incredible $58,868.21, contributing to our grand total of $200,000 granted to The Farmlink Project. We also saw our first-ever repeat champion, as MASSter of Puppets took 2023’s top spot. But they weren’t without competition, so we can’t wait to see who gives them a run for their money this year!

This year, fan club members will compete for bragging rights and killer prizes, and to see who can raise the most money for AWMH in support of the skilled trades. Whether you're a member of a local chapter or not, find the group you want to support and help them positively impact tomorrow's workforce!

The Competition & Prizes

All funds raised will be invested in training skilled tradespeople of the future.

To donate, find the direct link to the chapter you'd like to support at the bottom of this page. You can also access your chapter's fund using the drop-down campaign menu on AWMH's donation page.

If at any point during the fundraising contest (beginning on May 1, 2024) you’d like to participate on behalf of a Local Chapter but don’t see your chapter listed, don’t worry! Simply visit our "Month of Giving - Skilled Trades" campaign and write in your chapter’s name on the following page in the field under “Dedicate this Donation in Honor or Memory of Someone.” But please note: All write-in donations will be tallied and added to the leaderboard at the conclusion of the competition.

REMEMBER: Just like in previous years, there will be two winners in this competition: the chapter raising the most money and a randomly selected chapter drawn from all participants. Good luck to all participating!

The Grand Prize will be awarded to the chapter that raises the most money and will consist of:

  • (2) two weekend passes to the M72 World Tour stop of their choice
  • A Merch Pack from The Met Store
  • An autographed drumhead
  • Additional surprise prizes

The Second Prize will be awarded to a chapter randomly selected from all participants. As long as you make a donation of any amount, you will qualify for this prize consisting of:

  • A Merch Pack from The Met Store
  • An autographed drumhead
  • Additional surprise prizes

*Items designated as "autographed" are signed by all four members of Metallica (James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo).

**Prizes will be distributed to Chapter Members at the discretion of Chapter Heads.

The leaderboard was last updated on Thursday, May 16, at 3:40 PM PDT. Check back tomorrow for the next update!

Only donations made directly to the Local Chapter landing pages (direct links at the bottom of the page) will be included in the updates. All "write-in" donations and corporate matches will be tallied at the end of the month and added to the final totals.
