WOW!! Because of you, our annual Month of Giving fundraiser reached new heights this year.
Your support throughout the month-long fundraising activities, including proceeds from Metallica Store purchases, an exciting Local Chapter Fundraising Competition, the return of #MetallicaMondays on YouTube, and our online auction of unique Metallica memorabilia, combined with support from our sponsors—Carhartt, Wolverine, CNH, Upstaging, and ServiceTitan—combined to raise more than $300,000! Thank you for making this one of our most successful campaigns yet.
Let’s follow that money on its journey back into the community to make a meaningful impact.
While not officially announced yet, those of you who have followed us for some time can safely guess that the eighth year of our Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI) is right around the corner.
What began with ten schools and a desire to spotlight and invest in skilled tradespeople has evolved into a major initiative to fund workforce education programs in community colleges nationwide.
This $100,000 will be used to subsidize the career-building education of our upcoming cohort of Metallica Scholars. But the investment doesn’t stop there. By training tomorrow’s workforce—essential workers—society as a whole reaps the rewards.
The fight against hunger knows no borders, and neither does World Central Kitchen.
The nonprofit organization is the first to the frontlines, immediately serving chef-prepared meals to communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
We made our first grant to the organization four years ago. Whether through specific campaigns or to WCK’s general fund, it has been an honor to partner with them ever since. WCK has the resources to maximize the impact of this $100,000 grant and, through food, will provide not only nourishment but also comfort and hope in times of crisis.
Serving communities in need, wherever they are, Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization with an unwavering commitment to building resiliency for vulnerable communities across the globe through disaster relief and recovery efforts.
Through its mighty team of volunteers known as Greyshirts, Team Rubicon charges headfirst into dangerous situations with the sole purpose of serving others. With billion-dollar disasters occurring on average every 18 days, more and more communities are desperately in need of support.
AWMH has the utmost admiration for everyone at Team Rubicon, and we are grateful to continue supporting the nonprofit through this $100,000 grant.
