2026 Month of Giving

Spotlight On Our Mission

Month of Giving 2026 will tell the story of All Within My Hands. For many of you, this will be a refresher. And if you’re new, it will serve as the perfect crash course to catch you up on what we’re all about. We’re so excited for you to join us as we drill down on what is at the core of our mission.

The work of All Within My Hands is held up by three pillars, and throughout this month we’ll explore how each works individually and, finally, how they work together to create sustainable communities.

HOW THE PILLARS OF OUR MISSION WORK TOGETHER

The final week of Month of Giving 2026 will be supported by our newest sponsor, ServiceTitan, and will examine how the different areas of our mission work together.

On the surface, the three branches of our mission seem unrelated, but when it comes to supporting sustainable communities, everything is intertwined.

Take critical local services, you might initially think of emergency medical attention, public safety organizations, and evacuation processes. An overlooked component of disasters is the lack of access to food, particularly with nutritional value. That is where World Central Kitchen comes in. WCK is the first to the frontlines, providing fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. We have partnered with the nonprofit to provide food to Ukrainian refugees; hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, Florida, Mexico, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas; earthquake victims in Turkey and Morocco; and flood victims in Texas. Ensuring people and communities have access to healthy food IS disaster relief, and it is a critical local service.

Another forgotten component of disasters is the recovery period. The immediate relief required in an emergency is what gets the media attention. But what happens when the cameras are gone, and communities are left to rebuild their lives? Our Metallica Scholars Initiative includes areas of study that also aid in both disaster relief and recovery. When it comes to emergency response, we support Public Service and Safety programs, primarily Fire Academies, at five schools. The longer recovery period relies on skilled tradespeople with certifications in construction, advanced manufacturing, health sciences, and so much more. MSI supports these studies across the country, training not just a workforce, but the essential workers of tomorrow.

Finally, it was our honor to spotlight many of our partner community colleges and their efforts in the fight against hunger over the past several months. While not directly AWMH programs, these stories exemplified what it means to invest in a community. The same schools in which we help fund career and technical education programs are prioritizing food banks and campus markets to ensure their friends and neighbors are fed and cared for.

At the end of the day, we know that focused, local investments have tremendous ripple effects, resulting in healthier, more sustainable communities. We are so excited for you to join us in our many #MetallicaGivesBack campaigns.
