#MetallicaGivesBack in Berlin

Fighting Hunger & Supporting Critical Local Services

JUNE 2, 2026

All Within My Hands’ #MetallicaGivesBack campaign returns to Germany with the band’s visit to Berlin’s Olympiastadion. With support from Live Nation and the fans who attended the shows, Metallica and AWMH are providing grants to two local nonprofit organizations in conjunction with the band’s M72 World Tour stop in Berlin: Berliner Tafel and Paula Panke.

As the oldest foodbank in Germany, the Berliner Tafel prevents food waste and, after careful sorting and commissioning, distributes it to people affected by poverty throughout Berlin. Since the organization relies entirely on donations, our €20K grant will be put to good use. The grant will help to keep the process of distributing around 830 tons of food per month within the tight schedule while ensuring the safety of volunteers and employees. The money will be used to pay for fuel for the trucks, address logistical challenges within the facility, and contribute to rent.

Special thanks to the members of the Local Metallica Fan Club Chapter, St. Germany, who donated their time for a shift at Berliner Tafel.

Paula Panke Women’s Center is a place of exchange and community for women of all ages who live in the most diverse situations and forms. For over 30 years, the association has combined anti-violence work with cultural, educational, and empowerment initiatives—creating spaces where patriarchal power dynamics are named, challenged, and actively transformed. At its two feminist centers—Paula Panke Pankow and Paula Panke Weissensee—the association offers low-threshold, professional counseling, protection, and support for FLINTA* (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender) individuals affected by violence, as well as preventive and educational outreach work. At the same time, the association serves as a sociocultural hub for exchange, collective learning, and solidarity-based practice within the local neighborhood. With our €20K grant, Paula Panke Women’s Center will invest this donation in anti-violence work. This means better equipping their refuge apartments while also allowing them to enhance their community-building initiatives.
