#MetallicaGivesBack in Bologna

Fighting Hunger & Supporting Critical Local Services

JUNE 4, 2026

Metallica’s visit to Bologna marks the halfway point for the 2026 M72 European summer tour, and it’s been an incredible opportunity for us to provide grant funding as part of the #MetallicaGivesBack campaign! Working at the local level in Bologna, we partnered with Live Nation Italia Srl and Studio's Programmazione Spettacoli Srl to donate to two incredible organizations, Arca Misericordia and MondoDonna Onlus.

As a volunteer association, Arca della Misericordia welcomes around 90 people—homeless individuals and families facing severe economic hardship—into its hospitality homes in the province of Bologna. The association supports Italians and foreigners of any religion, providing material assistance and offering solidarity and companionship, like a large family. Our €20K donation will be used to purchase food for the guests, maintain their hospitality homes, and upkeep the vans used to transport goods. In addition, our support will enable the purchase of seeds, plants, and essential tools for the vegetable garden, run by the agricultural social cooperative Adamà, which provides meaningful employment opportunities for some of the association’s guests, helping them regain dignity, skills, and independence.

MondoDonna Onlus is committed to promoting equal dignity and rights for all, by supporting women, children, and families—particularly those in vulnerable situations, including migrants and survivors of gender-based violence—through hospitality, protection, empowerment, and pathways to autonomy, social inclusion, and self-determination. Our €20K grant provides essential support to sustain and strengthen our services for women, giving vital breathing space to activities that are often under significant pressure. In addition to emotional recovery, these funds will support essential legal advocacy and representation, as well as programs designed to enhance vocational skills and bridge the gap to sustainable employment.
