#MetallicaGivesBack in Brisbane

Fighting Hunger & Supporting Critical Local Services

NOVEMBER 14, 2025

Metallica’s gig at Suncorp Stadium allowed AWMH the opportunity to give back within the Brisbane community. Once again, in partnership with Live Nation Australia, Metallica and AWMH have chosen local nonprofit organizations to receive grants to support the community M72 visits in the areas of food insecurity and critical local services. Receiving funds in Brisbane are Foodbank Queensland and Second Chance Programme.

Foodbank Queensland supports 135,000 Queenslanders in crisis and provides breakfast to 52,000 children each school week, collaborating with 350 Community Partners and 430 Schools. Alongside food relief, the organization rescues surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, reducing landfill and protecting the environment. It is also focused on long-term change, partnering with communities to build fairer, more resilient local food systems. Foodbank Queensland is receiving AUD$20,000.

Special thanks to our Metallica Family volunteers who donated their time for a shift at Foodbank Queensland, where they packed an incredible 240 hampers, which will be distributed to families in need over the school holidays!

Second Chance Programme has been working to raise awareness of the plight of homeless women and their children since 2001. The charitable organization also raises funds for registered charities to provide them with comfortable housing and appropriate services, helping these women regain control of their lives. Second Chance Programme is receiving AUD$20,000.
