Fighting Hunger & Supporting Critical Local Services
JULY 1, 2026
Metallica’s stop in Cardiff gave AWMH the opportunity to give back to two important community organizations. With support from Live Nation and the fans who attended the shows at Principality Stadium, Metallica and AWMH are providing grants to two local nonprofit organizations in conjunction with the band’s M72 World Tour: Cardiff Foodbank and Llamau.

Cardiff Foodbank is a small team of 8 staff and 220 volunteers working tirelessly toward the goal of no one in Cardiff going hungry. They rely on the generosity of supporters who donate food and money and share their vision. Cardiff Foodbank not only provides emergency food parcels but also, through partnerships, works to increase people’s incomes, as low income is the reason people turn to a food bank. Our grant of £20,000 will provide 1,000 people with a three-day emergency food parcel, the equivalent of 9,000 meals. Together, we are helping keep their shelves stocked.

Llamau is a Welsh homelessness charity with a clear mission: to end homelessness for young people and women in Wales. For over 40 years, they have worked alongside people facing crisis, often due to family breakdown, poverty, domestic abuse, mental illness, or discrimination, to prevent homelessness and help them build safer, more stable futures. Our £20,000 grant will help Llamau continue to prevent homelessness, provide safety, and create lasting change for people across Wales. It will enable them to respond quickly, support people holistically, and ensure that those facing some of life’s hardest moments are not facing them alone.
