#MetallicaGivesBack to Two Local Organizations in Houston

JUNE 16, 2025

Metallica’s stop in Houston allowed AWMH the opportunity to give back within that community. Once again, Metallica and AWMH have chosen local nonprofit organizations to receive grants to support the community M72 visits in the areas of food insecurity and critical local services. Receiving funds in Houston are Target Hunger and Harmony House

Target Hunger works to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the Houston neighborhoods it serves. The organization is on the front lines of hunger every day through its food distribution system that includes multiple food pantries, educational food fairs, an extensive home delivery program, summer break food programs for children, mobile distribution sites, a growing community partner program, emergency food assistance, and two gardens. Target Hunger is receiving $20,000.

Special thanks to our Metallica Family volunteers who donated their time for a shift at Target Hunger, during which they packed 200 Summer Breakfast & Lunch Grocery Bags, sorted 8,400 lbs of donated food products for the organization's pantries, and packed onions and carrots. Additional thanks to our longtime partners at Carhartt for keeping them cozy and stylish in these exclusive M72 x AWMH Brite Orange Knit Cuffed Beanies.

Harmony House serves low-income individuals at risk of homelessness as well as chronically homeless individuals with disabling conditions, providing quality permanent and transitional housing, and access to primary health care with on-site clinic services. The organization fosters self-sufficiency by providing programs coupled with wraparound services to ensure that individuals are able to not only obtain housing but also maintain their housing long-term, giving them the ability to work toward reaching their individual goals. Harmony House is receiving $20,000.
