#MetallicaGivesBack to Two Local Organizations in Toronto
APRIL 28, 2025
Metallica’s stop in Toronto allowed AWMH the opportunity to give back within that community. Once again, Metallica and AWMH have chosen local nonprofit organizations to receive grants to support the community M72 visits in the areas of food insecurity and critical local services. Receiving funds in Toronto are Daily Bread Food Bank and Nellie’s.

Daily Bread Food Bank operates from a human rights-based approach that prioritizes participation, accountability, non-discrimination, equality, and empowerment because everyone should be able to access the food they need. The food bank works collaboratively to eliminate food insecurity and advocate for solutions to end poverty. Daily Bread Food Bank is receiving CAD$40,000.

Nellie’s is a safe space where women and their children are empowered to create a new path through vital services to help women and families break the cycle of violence, poverty, and homelessness. The individuals who come through the shelter or access the community outreach programs come with their own unique experiences and needs. Nellie’s mandate to help all women and their children, regardless of circumstances, is what makes the organization’s work essential. Nellie’s is receiving CAD$40,000.
