The College of Lake County’s heavy metalworking program was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the rock band Metallica, according to a press release.
Metallica’s singer, James Hetfield, recently sold handmade coffee tables he made in a GoFundMe campaign, raising $75,000, according to the press release.
The College of Lake County was one of three colleges selected to receive a grant from the proceeds of the sale for its metalworking curriculum.
