Kerrang!: Metallica's James Hetfield Is Raffling His Handmade Tables For Charity
Papa Het has crafted a set of end tables in his garage in Colorado, and will be raffling them via Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation.
James Hetfield has clearly been using his time in lockdown wisely, having crafted a set of end tables in his garage in Colorado, which will now be available via a charity raffle. The Metallica frontman and the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation have announced a new sweepstake in which one lucky fan will get their hands on the set – which will also be signed and personalised by James, and come with a certificate of authenticity.
“The last two months have been a time for many to learn new skills or revisit hobbies left behind in a busy world,” announce the charity. “Our own James Hetfield has done a little of both! A long-time vintage car enthusiast, James had been restoring classic cars for many years and has honed his welding skills while doing so. To expand on those skills, along with developing a new creative outlet, he’s built a pair of one-of-a-kind coffee tables dubbed ‘The Covid Collection by JH.’
