San Francisco Chronicle: Maui fires: Metallica donates $200,000 toward relief efforts
Metallica, the philanthropic Bay Area hard rock band, has contributed a $200,000 grant to aid wildfire relief endeavors in Maui through its charity foundation, All Within My Hands.
“We are heartbroken by the destructive wildfires devastating the historic town of Lahaina in Maui,” the band announced through the organization’s Instagram account on Friday, Aug. 11, the same day Metallica played an M72 Tour date in Montreal.
