Sofia - Central Piedmont Community College
Already studying in Central Piedmont Community College's Medical Laboratory Technology program, Sofia was scrambling to secure the money necessary to pay for board exam fees, a requirement for her certification. Though she had a job, her employer could not provide a steady work schedule. She learned about the Metallica Scholars Initiative from her teacher, applied, and was awarded the scholarship! The result?
